I admire people who are so organised that they can call it a system. I came across this article: https://www.eleanorkonik.com/p/the-konik-method-for-organizing-electronic about note-taking, even though I love the idea and how everything has its place. I know and have to admit that I will never manage that.
I take notes all the time. I use Obsidian, Notes, Evernote (slowly moving from there), and paper. But I just don’t see myself reviewing notes. If I need something, I search for it. I try to link Obsidian notes to each other when there is a reason. But that’s about it.
What I do that has a system is my daily development notes. I write references to tickets I work on and one-off code snippets. References to documentation, how-tos, etc. When I need something, I search for it, and 99% of the time, I find what I’m looking for.
If you can, make one improvement today. Make yourself a development notebook and keep everything useful there. It will speed up your dev time like you wouldn’t expect.
